Rat*toon", v. i. [imp. & p. p. Rattooned (-t&oomac;nd"); p. pr. & vb. n. Rattooning.] [Cf. Sp. retoñar.] To sprout or spring up from the root, as sugar cane from the root of the previous year's planting.
